Community Education Contracted Instructors
Community Education’s objective is for our students, our partnered instructors, and our staff to have positive and unique learning experiences and opportunities! Through our partnerships with excellent instructors, we offer a boundless spectrum of lifelong-learning classes to the community!
Community Education is looking for part-time contracted partnerships with dynamic entrepreneurs, hobbyists, musicians, artists, crafts, trades and business people to share their talents with our community. ComEd collaborates with partners to develop unique, individual classes to offer an exciting class catalog that includes a wide range of topics, such as the arts, interest, home, culinary, language and wellness! You are the expert, and we try to leave the class content, professionalism, and presentation primarily up to our instructors. We are always on the lookout for new, relevant class ideas!
ComEd publishes two catalogs a year and distributes to over 60,000 Sioux Falls area residents! Catalogs are released biannually in January and August. An example of our catalog of classes/programs can be found at https://www.flipsnack.com/sfsdcomed/
Instructors are encouraged to submit applications to ComEd that include a detailed description of new class/program ideas.
****Applications and class proposals must be submitted by November 1st for the January catalog consideration and June 1st for the August catalog consideration.
Hours vary per catalog.
